When booking one of Mint To Be’s 3 planning packages, you will have one of our lead planners come and run through your rehearsal with you! But, there are some things to keep in mind when preparing for your rehearsal, so we wanted to include them in this blog!
Who to invite-
Only invite people who will actually be walking down the aisle and/ or have a role in your wedding ceremony. This includes the officiant, grandparents, parents, and bridal party. Also if you have a flower girl or ring bearer or anything like that, they should be in attendance. After that, no one else needs to come. It will just make it confusing and the rehearsal will last longer than it needs to. Anyone else you feel should be a part of this can be invited to meet you at the rehearsal dinner.
The Mint to Be Team always has names and line up orders written in our day-of itinerary so we know where to place everyone! You don’t have to stress over this whatsoever.
Timing of rehearsal-
Always tell people to get to rehearsal 30 minutes before it actually is set to start. People are always always always late, and this way you’ll make it to your rehearsal dinner in time without being rushed.
How to rehearse-
We always start the rehearsal with the bridal party and bride and groom in their ceremony positions by the alter. If you send them down the aisle right of the bat, no one knows where to go after that and it ends up in chaos. Starting them in position lets them see where they’re supposed to be, then they practice can recessing out and then processing in. This makes it much easier and clear for everyone.
Get excited!-
It should start feeling real by the time you’re at your rehearsal! Your bridal party is there with you, and you’re standing in front of your future partner practicing how to tie the knot! Try not to stress, and take it all in!
