Venue Recommendations-
Most times our clients come to us after booking their venue, and they find us off their venue’s “preferred vendor list”. Any company off the venue’s preferred vendor list has worked that venue before and did such a great job that the venue will recommend them to other clients to have them back. While usually it’s not a “must” that your vendors have worked that venue before, it does help out as a bonus if they have. Having the on-site experience, familiarity, and recommendation from fellow industry vendors will ensure for peace of mind during the planning process and a seamless wedding day!
Planner Recommendations-
Going off of what we said under venue recommendations also applies to planner recommendations. Trust your planners expertise! That’s what you’re paying them for. They will know how to find the best fit for you based on your style, personality, AND budget!

3. Reaching Out To Vendors-
We recommend to check out at least 2 companies for each category of vendors to find the best fit for you. On the other side of that, definitely limit yourself on how many you do reach out to. Sometimes too many options are overwhelming and can make the decision making even harder. Narrowing down your options to 2 or 3 for initial contact usually works the best!
4. Set Up A Consultation-
You should talk to your desired vendors prior to booking! This can be in person, a phone call, or zoom, but physically talking to them before booking is key! The best vendor isn’t necessarily the most expensive (or the cheapest!). You should feel comfortable and confident in all of the vendors you book, and one way in doing this is making sure that your personalities fit. Our jobs are personal, so it really helps when a relationship can be grown throughout this intimate planning process!

5. Pay For Quality-
Trust me, we know that weddings are expensive, and sticking to a budget can be tough! We don’t want you to blow your budget on every vendor, but if one piece of your day is important to you, like your florals or your photography, then it might not hurt to stick to the saying “you get what you pat for” and go for the best quality! The fact is you are paying a lot for this day, so set yourself up for success and book vendors who are reputable and have experience. Sometimes a really cheap rate can actually be a red flag to the type of work they do!
