Tip #1.

Don’t include a registry in your save the dates. You don’t want to seem like you’re begging for gifts, so just include a link to your wedding website where your guests can access all the information about your wedding, including the registry.

Tip #2.

Do take care of your wedding party! This can include having breakfast and lunch for the girls and guys when they’re getting ready; or covering your bridesmaids’ hair and makeup costs if you’re wanting them to have it done by a professional. Also, picking out a little gift that they will use either during the wedding or you know they’ll use after will go a long way to say thank you for spending the time and money to be a part of your bridal party. This could be a piece of jewelry, or something nice and personalized.

Tip #3.

Don’t forget to feed your vendors! This includes photographer and videographer, DJ, and coordinator. They work all day to ensure you have your dream wedding, and it shows your appreciation by making sure they have a hot, fresh meal. Some vendors even have in their contracts that they will need a hot meal day-of.

Tip #4.

Greet your guests. Even if it is a short hello and thank you for coming, it shows your appreciation of them traveling and making the time to come to your wedding. Some couples will even give a little welcome speech before dinner to thank everyone for being there, and it takes a little bit of the stress off of going to speak to everyone. Another tip for this is to eat privately during cock tail hour so you don’t have to worry about eating and trying to speak to all of your guests.

Lastly, send thank you notes, and do it promptly. It helps to keep a list of who sent what, and to keep on top of them by sending them out within a week or two of you receiving the gift. It means a lot to the people who sent them to receive a note quickly saying that they appreciate you and the gift.
