First Looks and Everything in Between

Wedding days are full of happy and raw moments. The pure excitement and love that can be seen and felt on wedding days from all attending are like no other. One example of this outburst of emotions is the first time your loved ones see you in your wedding dress for the first time. There is so much excitement and happiness pinned up in everyone that it comes out in an explosion when they see you that first time. Sometimes this comes out in tears, sometimes its laughter, but no matter how it is shown, it is pure love and happiness.

There are a few different ways to capture that first time they lay eyes on you in your wedding attire. The first one is when you are walking down the aisle. The anxiety and excitement are at an all-time high in this moment, and all that anxiety seems to disappear into only excitement and love when you first look at each other! Ladies, if you think your fiancé isn’t normally a crier, you may be in for a surprise!

Another way of having that special moment with your soon-to-be spouse is a first look before the ceremony. It’s a more intimate way of seeing each other before all eyes are on you! This is the much awaited moment, and emotions are high leading up to when they get to turn around and see you.

One last example of sharing a moment between the two of you before the ceremony is a first touch. Even though when doing a first touch you won’t see each other, it is an incredible moment of peace to touch your significant other after spending the whole day apart getting ready and dealing with nerves and excitement. This saves that special first look for the aisle, but gives the two of you a second to spend with each other before you say “I do”.

Even though your wedding day is centered around you and your significant other, you can’t forget about the people who have been by your side through it all! I’m talking about your girls. Your bridesmaids have most likely been with you through it all, whether that’s break ups, college, first jobs, whatever it is they have been by your side. So why not share a special moment with them? Having a first look with your bridesmaids is a special moment that all of you will cherish, especially when thinking about how far you have all come together.

It doesn’t stop at bridesmaids when I say you can’t forget about the people who have been by your side through it all! This includes parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, whoever has helped guide you through life. Having a first look with them lets them is a special moment in a different way, because even though they are sad that they’re about to give you away to someone else, they are so incredibly proud and happy for you.
