Planning a wedding can be one of the most exciting, but stressful, things you ever do. Many brides have been dreaming of this day their whole life, and want every little detail to be perfect. This is a great reason to hire a wedding planner, so we can handle the details for you and you can sit back and relax throughout this fun season that you are in! Here we have included a small list of some details that tend to be pushed to the side and forgotten about until later on in the planning process.
#1- Stationery
Stationery is the first thing your guests see of your wedding when they receive your Save the Dates and Invitations. Personalizing your stationery with a picture of your venue, or a photo of you and your fiancé is much appreciated by your guests and always looks so nice. It is also good to go ahead and reserve room blocks if you have a lot of out of town guests attending, and including that on your invitations and/or your wedding website. It is good to get on these room blocks early, as well. Don’t forget about them or push them off.

#2- Beauty Details
This is your big day! Why not add a fun detail that you can wear? We love when we see our brides adding a fun floral pop in their hair, or a bright lipstick that they feel confident in! It brings out their personality and adds a personal touch to their pictures.

#3- Sweetheart/ Head Table
These tables are supposed to stand out from the rest, so plan accordingly! It is always fun to add a bit more florals to these tables, a different linen, or anything else you can think of that you would like on your table. Adding something different to these tables gives the emphasis that all of the focus is on you!

#4- Exit
You want to go out with a bang! Give your guests one last goodbye by planning an exit for everyone to join in on. This could be anything, from sparklers to bubbles to foam wands, we have really seen it all!

#5- Bouquet
Don’t forget to make your bouquet stand out from your bridesmaids! It could be bigger, have a little bit of different flowers in it, include a bow, or really have anything you can think of! If you don’t want it to stand out, the uniform look is also beautiful. You can add a personal touch of your own on it where no one can really see but you know is there. This could be a family necklace, a pin, or anything of special meaning to you.

#6- Music
We see a lot of clients struggling to figure out what kind of music vibe they want for their ceremony and reception. It is a good idea to start thinking early on if you want strings for your ceremony, and then switch to a band or DJ for your reception. DJ’s can also play the music for your ceremony, but there is something about live strings that feel so special!

#7- Transportation
If you have a lot of guests from out of town staying in your room blocks, it is a good idea to think about transportation for them to and from your wedding. This creates a lot less stress for them to enjoy your day more. Also think about transportation for your wedding party, they have done a lot to be a part of your day; and adding a fun party bus or simple transportation for them could be a nice thank you. Finally, think about you and your now spouses’ get away. Would you like to join in with your bridal party on a party bus and continue celebrating? Or do you want a private get-away car and spend the last bit of your wedding day with just the company of each other?

#8- Decorate your aisle
Some clients tend to look past the ceremony and focus on the décor and set up for their reception. While you and your guests will ultimately spend more time at your reception, so you want it to look nice, your ceremony is where the magic happens, and you are officially a married couple. It is worth it to put some time and money into it, so it looks exactly how you want it to. This could be with candles and lanterns, flowers, petals, or signage. It’s really anything your heart desires, it’s your day after all.

#9- Backup rain plan
While everyone prays it doesn’t happen, we can’t control the weather. Without speaking it into existence that it will rain, it is necessary to have a backup rain plan if your wedding is taking place outside. Not everything about it raining is negative though, an old wives tale says that rain is good luck on your wedding day, and I have been told that a “wet knot is harder to untie.”
