Small Planning Details You Can Do When You Feel Stuck

May 10, 2024 in Top Tips

When it comes to wedding planning, there are big details that need to be planned, but also lots of little ones that need to be planned. It’s so easy to get caught up in the big details to miss or put off the little ones. Especially when you’re feeling like you’re at a standstill with planning the big details, it can be stressful to feel like you’re forgetting something, so we wanted to create a blog to help keep you on track!

As per our reel we posted (click here to watch), here are some key little details that will make your life and your wedding go much smoother if you feel as though you are in a standstill in planning!

  1. Make your photo groupings list for after the ceremony with your family

  2. Research marriage license requirements in your state! (it varies everywhere)

  3. Create your playlists for throughout the day! (and your DO NOT play list)

  4. Purchase small outfit details- jewelry, shoes, etc.

  5. Wrap/ purchase wedding party gifts

  6. Edit your ceremony script if needed

  7. Organize and label your decor (this helps your wedding coordinators out SO much day of)

  8. Write your vows

  9. Start putting aside vendor tips (this way it won’t be an overh=qhelming amount of money at once as well)

  10. Prep signage and decor (basically just get your decor and things ready to be placed out day of by your coordinator! This can include peeling adhesive off signage, getting flow wands ready for the dance floor, etc.)

  11. Pick out all special songs like ceremony and first dances

  12. Create a Plan B for inclement weather if neccessary!

  13. Get hair and makeup inspiration

  14. Plan rehearsal dinner details

Hopefully this blog helps out in distinguishing and planning these small little details that make a big deal for your wedding day!
