To honor her on your wedding day, you could give her a sentimental gift to open as y’all get ready. This could be a hand stitched hanky for happy tears, jewelry, a locket with your photo, a getting ready outfit, paying for her beauty services, you name it! Or even include something sentimental from your childhood!
If you don’t do a sentimental gift, there are plenty of other ways to honor her on your wedding day!
a song dedication or special dance.
have her walk you down the aisle (or join you and your dad).
incorporate something from her wedding day into yours:
Maybe a piece of her dress is sewn into yours, her veil, something blue like jewelry, her knife/ cake server, champagne flutes, etc!
You may have seen this on Tik Tok- but it’s becoming more common to see brides take their mom’s wedding dress and transform it into their rehearsal dinner dress! I think this idea is super cute but just try and make sure your mom would be okay with cutting/ altering her dress first!
Bouquet dedication to her instead of a bouquet toss.
Giving her a corsage or handheld tussy (basically a small bouquet).
No matter what you choose to do to make your mom feel special on your wedding day, she will love it! This day is so sentimental to her, so it would be nice to give her the extra love and affection on your day!
