Going off of our last weeks blog about invitations and save the dates, we wanted to provide some insight to creating your wedding website. Your website is where your guests will go for majority of concise information regarding your wedding ceremony, reception, registry, logistics, etc. Feel free to add as much (or as little) information as possible, but make sure to provide the key details you would like your guests to know.

Here is what we recommend to put on your website’s FAQ page! Again, you can provide as much or as little information as you want, but this is what we suggest. There are also lots of different websites that provide help into wording some of these details as well.
Attire Dress Code (black-tie, semi-formal, etc.)
If kids are allowed.
If guests have a plus one (usually state that the number/names of guests invited will be included on the formal invitation).
Arrival time for ceremony (within 30 minutes of ceremony start time).
Parking logistics (if there is on-site parking, or if overnight parking is permitted. If not, usually state that Ubers & Lyfts or any other form of ride share is preferred.)
Note if it’s an unplugged ceremony.
If there is an open bar.
If song requests are allowed for the reception.
If there is a welcome party for all guests to attend the night before. If there is, state where and what time.
If there will be transportation provided and logistics of that.

Also make sure your registry is included in your website. This ensures that your guest will be able to find it easily and get you the items off your wishlist!

On most wedding websites, there is a place to write down a summarized version of “your story.” Your guests and people you care about actually will read this, and it can be super fun to write a his and hers version of your love story together!

Having out of town guests? Provide some lodging logistics and suggestions of things to do in the area for your loved ones to make a trip out of it!

Lastly, highlight those loved ones in your bridal party and give them the shoutouts they deserve by including their name, a picture, and maybe who they are to you or how you met!

As always, these are just our professional suggestions, and you can make your wedding website however you want! Adding in these details usually makes for less questions being thrown at you the week before your wedding though!
