As the spring wedding season is quickly approaching, here are some new trends and designs that we think we will be seeing more of this spring and into summer!

As you’ve probably seen on Tik Tok or Instagram or Pinterest, editorial photos are becoming a HUGE hit. They are fun, playful, and relaxed, and give a good mix up to the posed and sometimes rigid looking wedding photos. (don’t get me wrong, all photography types are beautiful!) These photos are often blurry, displaying some kind of motion, or show the subject in a more carefree manner, and depict your wedding as a story more so than a posed event. We’ll also be seeing more usage of flash and/ or disposable cameras and film!

A design element that is becoming more popular is tapered candles. These add so much dimension to your tables, and we always say the more candlelight the better! They can also add a pop of color to your design if you choose to use different colored candles.

A style that we’ve been loving is having mismatched bridesmaid dresses. This can be mismatched styles, colors, textures, or all of the above. It adds individuality to each of your bridesmaids, and lets them be able to choose what they will be most comfortable in. We will also be seeing lots more of brightly colored bridesmaid dresses as well, like different tones of bright pinks and colors like that.

A trend that has been sticking around for a while now, and for good reason, is a private last dance. While your guest are preparing for you exit, take one more moment to share a private last dance with just you and your new spouse. You can take this to reflect on the day, and enjoy some alone moments as a newly married couple in your venue space.

Another trend that has been on the scene for a little bit is a non-traditional guestbook. Make your guestbook something you’ll like looking at! We’ve seen coffee table books with pictures of their engagement, After the Tone voice recordings, a beautiful piece of wood that will have all the messages burned into it, and this guitar that can be placed in their house to be remembered!

Celebrities like Hailey Bieber and Madi Prewett have made a splash by embroidering a sentence into their veils, like “til death do us part” and “worth the wait”. We think that more and more brides will partake in this and include a sentence that’s meaningful to them & their partner.
Another trend that celebrities are taking a hold of and adding to the wedding industry are statement aisles. This can be a mirror glass aisle to walk on, stunning floral arrangements all the way down, or other elements like that. It’s stunning and creates a beautiful atmosphere for you to say “I do.”
As always, we’re looking forward to the 2023 spring season and all of the new (an old) ideas it holds!
