As a wedding coordinator, my favorite types of client meetings are design and floral meetings. It is so much fun to watch our clients express their creativity and personalities through choosing florals and key pieces of design for their big day. Some clients know exactly what they want in advance, but other clients can be indecisive and unsure. It is also easy to be overwhelmed and unsure when looking at all the different options for the first time, which is where this blog may come in handy. In this blog we’ll show examples of different types of design styles that you can incorporate with florals, whether it is your arbor, aisle, or tables! This way you can be prepared at your next design and floral meetings.
One thing really trending right now are flower walls. These not only provide a great photo op for your guests complete with a neon sign, but they can also serve a purpose, like a champagne wall, or hanging your guest seating charts on.

Next, let’s talk arbor pieces. Your arbor is your main backdrop while you are reading your vows and saying I do, so you want it to be something you love. There are so many ways you can choose to dress up your arbor, and you can’t go wrong with any of them! Arbors also come in all shapes and sizes, so keep that in mind as well when choosing what you want to decorate yours with.

We also can’t forget about the aisle. Adding a little pop of florals can go such a long way when it comes to your aisle. You want to find that perfect middle of not too much, especially so it doesn’t get in the way of walking up and down, but just enough so that it ties in your arbor and florals from your reception space as well. It gives it a touch of elegance and that little detail can rally go the extra mile, especially when it comes to looking back at your photos.

Moving on from your ceremony space into your reception space, let’s look at your guest/head/sweetheart tables. We love a bridesmaid bouquet repurpose moment on your guest tables. This saves money, and also gives the bouquets more time to shine! There are also so many ways you can choose to decorate your tables, and again there are no right or wrong ways. We see florals on top of large columns for a stunning and dramatic look, fresh greenery perfectly placed for a more simplistic yet elegant look, and even floating florals, which is so classy and beautiful. These are not the only ways to decorate your head table, but just a starting point for ideas that you may love instead.

And, as if there weren’t already enough decisions to be made, the last thing that I want to cover are hanging florals. These pretty much speak for themselves in my opinion because they add so much to your space. Just like adding pieces in the aisle, the extra bit of detail goes such a long way.
