Fun Engagement Photo Ideas

May 06, 2023 in Creative Ideas

Congrats, you’re engaged!! Now what? Time to take engagement photos! We love seeing fun, interactive, unique, and personal engagement pictures. It’s all about the live memories and photos behind the scenes documenting this stage of your life. With that being said, here are some fun ideas to use for your engagement shoot!

If you and your fiancé are big cooks, maybe bring the photo shoot inside and show how you like to cook together. This is a fun way to really show what things are like just the two of you instead of staged poses, and you’ll also have the pictures of your living space to look back on.

We have had clients take their engagement photos taken at a hot air balloon festival here in North Carolina. This is especially good if you and your fiancé are adventurous and love to do new things together. Plus, who else gets to say they did their engagement pictures flying in a hot air balloon?!

Have your photographer act as paparazzi following you two around your local favorite date night spots, such as the movies, roller skating, ice cream, fast food, picnic, sport game, or anything else you two enjoy doing.

You could pick a fun way of transportation, like retro bikes, a classic car, electric scooters, etc. and take your engagement pictures like that as well!

Another fun engagement picture spot is also to go berry picking. You can get the cute candid photos of picking berries together but also the pretty staged poses in the fields surrounded by the berries, so it’s like a two for one!

At the end of the day, really just have fun your engagement pictures and enjoy the season of life that you are in. Our best advice is to somehow use these pictures to portray what your relationship looks like, whether it’s in how you like to spend your time together, or in other ways!
