How To: Make Wedding Planning A Date Night

While majority of the wedding planning does happen to fall on the bride, there are lots of little ways to turn your wedding planning process into date nights with you and your fiancé! This blog can just be a starting point of ideas for our couples who are looking for fun ways to plan things together.

Starting off strong, you could do a registry date night! Go to a couple places together and pick things out in person to register for. You might even find some things that surprise you that you’ll want!

Or, stay at home and have a honeymoon researching date night. Look up different spots depending on what time of honeymoon you want with different things to do at each place! If you can’t decide on somewhere you could even make it a game and draw it out of a hat.

A common part of wedding planning that is given to the groom to complete is finding a DJ. However, a fun date night could be a night spent listening to music on Spotify (or Apple Music of course) and deciding what songs you want on your “do play” and “do not play” lists!

One idea that I love is a rehearsal dinner date night. While this also typically falls on the groom, deciding on a restaurant and menu for the rehearsal dinner can also be a group effort. Plus, it will be fun to get out of the house together to plan some things!

An idea you’ve heard before is scheduling your beauty trial for the same day as your dress fitting to see all the magic come together. But, you can take it one step further! How about a dinner date night all dolled up from your beauty trial afterwards too? Might as well show off your glam look while you can!

The last idea is a DIY craft night. You can work on any and all types of DIY items you may have for your wedding. Whether it’s thank you notes, signage, greenery walls, you name it! Make a date out of it, throw on some jams (that could be put on your wedding reception playlist) and get to work!
