When starting out your wedding planning process, we like to tell our clients to plan with a purpose. This keeps you from doing too much and making the space too crowded. It also takes the stress off of trying to have everything, especially for finance purposes. Here are some of our best tips of planning with a purpose!

For example- mirrors. An interior design hack is that they make a room look bigger. This can also have the same impact for your wedding space, and plus they can be something you repurpose into your house afterwards! Getting more bang for your buck is our favorite.
Another example of more bang for your buck that we like to tell our clients is to get a guestbook that you actually like to look at, or have out somewhere in your house. Otherwise it might just sit in a box in your attic, and we think it’s more fun when you can enjoy that special tangible piece from your wedding.

Another tip is to maybe focus on a “photo wall” focal point. This can add/ play off of your color scheme and design, and also be a cool unique place for your guests to take photos. It doesn’t have to be a photo wall, it could be a seating area with rented furniture or things like that, but just kind of let it be an area where your guests can congregate but it isn’t echoed all the way throughout the room- it’s just in one spot. This one also included a neon sign, which I think adds to the party atmosphere and is a fun touch for a wedding. These also look good behind a bar as well.

Lastly, let’s talk table settings- florals, chargers, flatware, and things like that. A table can get pretty busy super fast. This table setting is perfect because while there is a lot of beautiful flowers, candles, and glassware, the table is not overdone. This is because of a couple things. One being the color scheme- the only pop of color is the chic black napkins, causing your eyes to not be overwhelmed with all the different colors. Majority of the things on the table are also clear glass, causing you to be able to see through them and have light coming through, making it less bulky. And, lastly, the florals are high above eye level as you’re sitting down and eating, enabling guests to still communicate with ease during dinner while still enjoying the incredible floral arrangements on their table. This is a perfect example of planning your tables with a purpose- having a beautiful, eye-catching table but it’s not an eye-sore and a headache from being to overdone.
