As some wedding trends are becoming bigger and bolder, we wanted to remind you that your wedding doesn’t have to have every single decor idea you’ve seen on Pinterest, or every cool vendor that you’ve seen on Instagram! Picking a minimalist design is never out of style, and is always beautiful and classy.

Focusing on a few accents throughout your design is key in a minimalist approach! This bride focused on a beautiful white theme that matched her venue, the Dairy Barn, perfectly. She echoed the white color of the barn with her table clothes and flowers, and accented them with silver and greenery. This added a little bit of depth, and really highlighted the white without overshadowing it. To top it off, she added the white lights on the ceiling to make the room feel more intimate and celebratory, while again copying the white tones with the light fixtures as well.

Let’s focus on her flowers. Pure white rose bouquets are the classiest bouquets, and will never go out of style. Don’t get me wrong, I am absolutely all for a beautiful arrangement with all sorts of flowers and colors, but white rose bouquets will always be stunning. When next to a bride and her white dress, it can be breathtaking. It just goes to show you don’t need to be over the top with your florals if you don’t want to.

Keeping with a minimalist theme, her signage was stunning yet wasn’t overdone. It was graceful and classy, and was perfect in her space with the rest of her decor and design. Her seating chart displayed a new pattern, but it was a calm pattern and played well into her design. The welcome sign was a great addition as well, and along with her guestbook and polaroid pictures to add to her cocktail tables for her guests to look at was the extent of her decor. A common mistake is thinking that the less decor means your space will look bare. When done right, less decor can make your room feel perfectly designed and not overwhelming.

Your ceremony space is the first thing your guests will see, and the first place where you will spend your first moments as husband and wife. You want to design this space that fits you and your soulmate, so don’t make it something you’re not just to fit a trend or a Pinterest board. Adding in florals to your aisle is a beautiful idea to add elegance to your ceremony space, and same with adding an arbor or anything your heart desires to where you say “I do.” Going along with her white theme, this bride added stunning white columns and beautiful floral arrangements, which we added to her reception space after the ceremony.
