Hey guys!
We hope you're all having a wonderful week and enjoying the warmer weather. Springtime is right around the corner and with that comes the start of wedding season! We cannot wait to see our couples tie the knot and celebrate!
One of the most important aspects of a successful wedding is capturing your day through beautiful pictures! Wedding photographers are a top priority, right next to an officiant and a dress. Wedding pictures provide the perfect collection of memories to look back on for years to come.

Here's what to look out for in 2021 in the world of wedding photography:
1. Take relaxed photos
This year, more couples are focusing on intentional details, which display thoughtful emotion towards guests. Wedding photographers will focus more on capturing raw, authentic moments in 2021. So during your photo sessions - relax, have fun, and be intentional!

2. Videography before the big day
Many couples that hire a videographer for their special day should consider capturing a few clips of them before their wedding day. Maybe 4-6 months before the wedding, schedule a time to meet up with your videographer and capture some moments of you two during your engagement. Oftentimes, the engagement is filled with so much preparation and planning that couples may wish their day was already here! Don't forget to cherish each moment of your engagement, because it will be over before you know it. Incorporating these moments into your wedding video will add a beautiful touch. After all, marriage is not a destination, but simply part of the journey.

3. Engagement Shoot
To help prepare for the official wedding photos, it helps to meet up with your photographer for an engagement shoot first. This allows you an opportunity to make sure you're both comfortable with the photographer before the big day. Your photographer can also provide location ideas for your photo shoot and help you decide what to wear! Remember: they do this professionally, so they know what will help you look your best and match your style!

Some tips from the Mint to Be Team:
- Consider your venue when choosing a wedding photographer!
Whether your venue is outdoors, in a barn, or in front of a cityscape, making sure your photographer's style matches is key. If their editing style is soft and airy, they might not be the best fit for your barn wedding. Other photographers are great at capturing bright colors and contrast, so your bright garden wedding will look just as beautiful in photos as the real thing!
- Request your photography timeline at least 1 month out from your wedding date
Make sure you know exactly when your photographer will be arriving and what photo sessions you will have during your day. This will determine your beauty timeline, so you will be picture perfect for your sessions!
Wherever you are - treasure the season you're in and prepare yourself for beautiful photos that will leave you teary-eyed!
