Possibly one of the most intimidating & impactful parts of wedding planning is your guest list. Choosing who to include & who not, plus ones, kids, friends of your parents, etc can be so hard to narrow down, & it’s a daunting task! Your guest list can also majorly affect your budget. In fact, your guest count is the largest factor to take into consideration when creating a budget because with each person comes food, drink, a table setting, & more! (And let’s be real- that adds up!) After your list has been decided & invites sent out, there are going to be people that either don’t RSVP, or last second cancel. Don’t panic- this is totally normal!

We’re writing this blog in hopes to take some of the stress off of gathering & finalizing your guest list! Below are some of our best tips & tricks to make this task seem a little less frightening ↓
Guest List Management
Are kids invited
Who gets a plus one?
Compare your invite list & your parents invite list. (Be prepared to compromise!)
RSVP Follow Ups
No matter how easy you make it, you’ll have to track down RSVPs after the due date. We recommend following up the week after the due date!
Last Minute Cancellations
Could be weeks or even days before! Just be prepared for this.
Guests Not Reading the Website
There will be guests that don’t think to check your wedding website & text you questions about attire, times, locations, events, room blocks, transportation, or literally anything else.
Mail System Mess Ups
Buy extra Save The Dates and Invitations in case of returned mail for changed addresses, lost mai;, or delayed mail!
TIP: take your suites in to the post office to weigh and make sure there is sufficient postage!
Address Gathering
Divide & conquer!!! Have you and your fiancé’s parents gather each of your family, and then you and your fiancé split the rest. This makes it much more manageable and not as overwhelming!
We hope this blog helps! Don’t be afraid to split tasks up between family members, and just take one thing at a time when feeling overwhelmed!
