Because we get the opportunity to work in venues all over Charlotte and the surrounding areas, we tend to get booked in repeat venues. We love getting to work in the same venues because A. we get to know the layout and the tips and tricks per venue, and B. we get to see how the space transforms for each client! Even though we become very familiar with these venues, it still feels like we are in a different space each wedding day.

Let’s talk about Foundations of the Carolina’s, for example. A very classy, uptown modern art-vibe venue. We had the pleasure of coordinating clients’ weddings there in April and June of this year. Both weddings were beautiful, stunning, and full of love and joy. Both of these weddings looked completely different, transporting us into what we felt like were completely different venues.

One of the biggest things that will make your space unique to you and to really pop is your florals. Whether you use dried pieces, big arrangements, tall centerpieces, hanging florals, or whatever else you can think of, it will transform and elevate your space. Let’s talk about another big one, your color palette. Will it be cohesive with the room or will it stand out with it? Bright colors or neutrals? The options are endless and each option will give the room a different look. This includes not only floral colors, but bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen tuxes, table linens, and chargers (if you choose to do them). Will there be texture in your bridesmaid dresses, linens, or napkins? That changes the look of things too! I know what you’re thinking, there are so many options and what if you choose the wrong one? That’s the thing- there is no wrong answer! Whatever you choose will be beautiful, and not to keep repeating ourselves, but will make your space really yours.

Believe it or not your dress style and texture also has a lot to do with it! Will it be lacy, or large ballgown, or silky, or tight fitting? Will you have a long veil? These are questions to consider when choosing a design for your room as well. You want your dress to have its own moment while not being overshadowed by the room. But, you also don’t want the room to be bare.

Here’s one you might not have thought about; choosing your table shape/ type of table. Will you have big round tables with linens or long farmhouse tables? These will all impact the space and give the room a design unique to you. This also includes chairs. Different types of chairs give the room a different feel depending on the style and color.

Lastly, choosing a band or DJ can also change the look and layout of the space. If there is a stage, uplighting, or other things like that, the room will look different for each client.
