CEREMONY

We always recommend the majority of your floral budget go towards the ceremony design, since this is the most important event of the day. The ceremony is the entire reason your wedding day is happening, so the design should reflect that. For a festive ceremony backdrop, consider using Christmas trees or garlands with fresh white lights. If you have the flexibility, why not tie the knot at a Christmas tree farm? Many tree farms come with a beautiful mountain backdrop, so you'll have the destination wedding feel without the excessive travel.

COCKTAIL HOUR

After the ceremony, guests flock to the cocktail hour site for an appetizer, specialty cocktail, and some mingling. The cocktail hour is a great opportunity for guests to see their seating assignment before entering the reception. For a festive seating display, consider decorating a tree with custom ornaments. Since cocktail hour is shorter, we recommend using decor that can easily be flipped to the reception. We flip seating charts, candles, florals, and other decor to maximize your budget and your decor's versatility.

Shades of burgundy and emerald green are the perfect holiday palette for a classic wedding reception. Consider layering festive shades with gold, silver, and crisp white in your table linen, charger, plate, napkin, and menus. For an icy twist, why not go for a wintry design with tones of white, silver, and dusty blue? Sprinkle in some fake snow and you'll have the perfect setting for a winter wonderland wedding. If you live somewhere snowy, consider leaving in a horse and carriage or sled with dogs!
